Unlocking a mobile

I was given a motorola pebl phone as a pressy. It has a vodafone pay as you go sim in it. I want to change it to an 02 pay as you go. Can anyone recommend the place to go on the web to get the unlocking code. I've seen a few people advertising on ebay. Is it easy to do? I'm not that techy. Thanks everyone.

Im not really clued up on this but I looked into once, and its not free for a start, and involves buying a cable and software. Im sure you will be as well taking it to a shop that will do it for anywhere from a tenner to fifteen quid.
( The companies charge about 30)

obviously it hasn't been used ....so take it back to the shop ... explain ... and they should exchange it for an 02 version

Get the unlock code here in this site mention below & unlock the mobile in easier way .
I used this site http://www.theunlocka...lock...phone/rs13wp2/ for unlocking the mobile , it provides unlock code , using that i unlocked the mobile & got nice solution.
It worked out great .
