Im thinking about a mini break to Dublin later this year, can anyone recommend reasonably priced b&b's or hotels? TIA, as always

Don't let the word 'hostel' in that URL put you off. Enter your dates, etc and click 'Find Hostels'. Then go to the pane on the left, de-select 'Hostels', select both 'Hotels' and 'Guesthouses' and click 'Update'. You'll find plenty of places listed, often with detailed reviews.

Myself and the wife went to Dublin for a gig last year and found it so expensive we'd never go back!
We arrived on Saturday morning, flew back home on Sunday afternoon and in the meantime had spent just on £200.
This was basically, bus fares from airport to hotel and then from hotel into city centre, 2 breakfasts each, sandwhiches and drinks.
A pint worked out at almost £6, £8 for a Southern Comfort and Lemonade (a half bottle of Southern Comfort only cost 9 euros in an off licence), although prices got slightly cheaper the further outside the city centre we got.
We had a great time but at those prices, we won't go back.
