it doesn;t go on where you live anymore its on the name. she can get a free credit report online
I think credit checks can go on a number of things. If a previous resident of the house is blacklisted, then it could show on the address. A credit check would show it, as McCluff says, and it's something you can get amended.

The fact that the girl lives in rented accommodation can also go against her, I think, depending on the type of loan and the terms. It's a sad and ironic fact with credit that the more money you have to start with (so the less likely you are to need credit), the more easily you can get it.
I was once refused a loan because I'd no credit history. I'd never had a credit card and used to save up to buy everything.
It amazes me that you can't get a credit rating until you've been in debt!
My daughter was recently told that she couldn't get a loan, as she didn't have a credit rating. so, she had to get a credit card, that she didn't want, just so she could run up some debt so she could get a loan.
