I was 6 days late paying my rent once when I had my own company. The bar stud landlord sent the bailiffs in, and the bailiffs handed me a piece of paper telling me to pay (but didn't collect a signature to prove they'd been). 1 week later I get a bill for £849 for "attendance fees" or something. I sued the gits and won ! Their fault for not following procedures.
