Well I am unemployed again. Have just got back home and have had an email from the manager of the new company I would have been working for, he was diagnosed with Cancer of the kidney last week and it would not be fair on me to start work whilst he was off having operations.

I know the recruitment lady said she was going to try persuade them they might need me whilst the wife is off visiting him. But I have said not to worry about me, it is a shame but he is No1 at the moment and just to put all his energy into getting better. I have been offered an interview at a place in town next week.

I have been out of work since Feb when I was made redundant after 14 years. They well take me on in future, but at the moment just him and his wife in office

went out shoppig this morning too to buy new clothes for job and treated my bloke to sega all stars racing on wii for supporting me... he owes me 20 quid now

4Get- Hope it all works out for you. It is so hard. My sister has been out of work since February 2009. Thank God they just extended unemployment benefits AGAIN until November. You are the 3rd person I have heard of who got a job and then never started it b/c the boss was ill or died between the hiring and first day of work. Strange times we live in.
