Rose problem. i have a large old established pink rose, i think called Elizabeth, nice scent. 2 years ago i pruned it hard and half the bush has come back as a wild rose. can i get it

back to what it was and as it now stands 3mtrs high do i risk pruning it again? Thanks for any help

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Once a hybrid rose starts sending up shoots from below the graft knob, you may as well dig it up and trash it... start all over, trust me, it's a losing battle. The shoots will almost never bloom and the rose will put all of its energy into growing the shoots. I tried to bring one back for about 3 years after a Rosarian told me wht I'm tellin you... darn thing never did bloom...
