Near Pickering. I have to have a yearly fix of the N.Y Moors and Autumn is best. Going up at the end of September for four days. I just love it up there.

No one I can think of in the actual town I'm in, although Sharleen Spiteri grew up here and went to school with my sister. The town over the hill has a lot of footballers and Marti Pellow. There is a hotel up the road which usually has a few celebs staying though - Clint Eastwood stays quite often and they had to renovate the shower of one of the rooms for Pavarotti :)

Used to live next door to him when I was younger but we moved a few miles away.He still lives there and still see him in Stourbridge sometimes.
He's a Wolves fan who was born in West Bromwich so I ignore him though :-)

Have a good time in Pickering Lofty there's some nice countryside around there and the North Yorks Moors, we were there just recently. We stay with friends in Whitby. Have you been to Thornton-le-dale for a visit?

Steg: Sandbanks is in Poole Dorset and one of the most expensive place in the world to buy a house. Harry Rednapp the Tottenham manager lives there and about 5 miles from me.
