thanks! I'm hoping mine has gone away - I've spent a few weeks walking without socks (since the pressure of the elastic seemed to be creating the rash round my legs), and I've just put them back on for the last couple of days... so far, touch wood, no rash.

Ah, if only all of life's problems could be cured by taking my socks off!
