Hiccups -> banning?
I was just wondering, and I ask here as it may be of interest to others, whether or not hiccups could result in a user being banned from one thread in particular?
Yesterday my internet was playing up something chronic and I inadvertantly posted the same answer about 4 times in a thread in "news". I apologised on the thread and asked that someone report the extras so that they could be removed.
Today, I've been able to post anywhere on the site, except in that thread. To clarify: I can type and submit an answer, but it does not show up on the thread. Can I no longer post in that thread? I hope this is not the case and I want to reply to someone!
ABE - chocolate cake is on offer for a helpful answer from you. Also, if you like, once you've answered, I could sneak into the AB monastry and steal the monks' cane so that your buttocks get a rest today! :-)

Well ABE was complaining about being caned by the monks the other day... so I was just trying to offer some help. I oculdn't think of a nicer way to put it... I suppose I should have just stopped before my last line. *blushes* - sorry ABE - was only trying to be nice!
Hi there jan_bug,
You may have noticed that you can only push the "submit" button once now, which has def. limited the amount of hiccups that get through. In your case, if I remember correctly, (I was a bit 'under the weather' yesterday) once your duplicate posts were removed, you should have been able to post as normally.
If you get any like-problems in the future, please drop an email to me (or even better!) the Technical Team from the Contact Us page.

Sorry to hear you were feeling ill ABE, I hope that some chocolate cake will help... *hands over cake*.
I'm sure the problem won't arise again, but I'll do as you say if it does. Fantastic to see that the hiccups should have been cured. I hope this also works for those strange times when the space bar suddenly acts as submit! Top work anyway.. thanks! :-)
