out of town
dunno, they hadn't changed, had much to say

Prison is my guess. (I saw Phil Lynot a couple of times in 85 just before he died, once in Twickenham and Richmond he smiled nodded and said "Hello". He had a place in Kew)

My Dad was aquainted with Leslie Crowther his wifes Dad.

but man, I still think those cats are crazy
maybe they were in prison but escaped, because, there's gonna be a jail break, somewhere in this town, tonight there's gonna be a jail break, so don't you come around.
they've been living downtown, driving all the old men crazy
and Oasis are coming to Glasgow.  GET ME OUT OF HERE

Thanks.

I was wondering if they'd been for a nice trip down the coast, or something. ;-)

by  the way, they were asking if you were around.

"There's gonna be a jailbreak somewhere in this town."

My money is on the jail.

its a well known fact in these parts that Phil Lynot was a fanatical Huddersfield Town supporter, and he penned this jolly tune when he and his mates put half their weekly wage on Town winning 3-0 against Bradford City Jan 13th 1972. He chanted 'the boys are backing town' for the whole 2 hours during which town lost 5-0, his moustache caught fire and his mates had a pub brawl about whos stupid idea it was to back such a sh**e team.
Waitig for an Alibi.

I remember I was convinced the line in the song-- `back in Dino`s bar and grill` was-- `back in Dino`s bar in Rhyll`!

Mates had laugh at my expense.
