My daugher was toilet trained July last year and has now started weeing herself in the day again~ PLEASE HELP

I toilet trained my daughter in July last year and she picked it up very quickly - we had it mastered in 2 weeks and she was very proud of herself with only a few accidents.
She is also fully trained on a night time now.

Until recently ~ over the last two weeks she has started to have accidents during the day ~ only when were in the house (she always remembers to tell me when were out that she needs to go to the toilet) This is becoming more and more frequent and I do not know what to do???

I have tried talking to her and asking why she is doing it and get the same response "Because I have"

I told her I will put nappies back on her like a baby today hoping this might make her realise what she is doing is wrong, she started crying, said she would not do it again and would use the toilet and still another accident later this afternoon...

Please help - what else can I do???

I was a full time mum so my 2 had my full attention all day too, just at this particular time one of them wanted a little more.
I'm not suggesting there's a reason for her being like this or that you're not giving her enough attention. I suppose even grown ups get a bit insecure sometimes but we can express how we're feeling. This may be your child's way of getting mor attention or maybe she is just testing the boundaries of what she can do.
Is she at Nursery yet?

Yes she has been at play group full time for a year and its only the last few days before the holidays that this started when she did it there though they had the paddling pool out and she said she had sat in the water but it was wee!!

It is only over the last three to four days that it has started everyday ~ sometime 2-3 times that this has become a problem as I just out it down to an accident ass she was playing ~ now it seems like theres more to it so thought I would see what others thought and suggested.

Anythings worth a go at this stage. If she was managing ok at nursery it does sound as if she's just pushing your buttons.
Just remember too that none of these delightful little phases last forever and by next month you'll probably be tearing your hair out over something else : )

Thanks for ALL the suggestions, I am willing to give anything a go at the minute.

Hopefully what you suggested yinyang will work and this will be a blip and over with ASAP.

Things can't really get any worse so trying to stay positive!!

Willing to try anything positive people suggest.

Just wanted some advice or reason as to why she might be doing this and how to go forward as it is not like her in any way........

oh kids do all sorts, youll just get over this and some other thing will start up lol

its just one of the joys of being a parent.

Theres often no obvious reasons why they do such things either.

You would drive yourself crazy if you tried to work out every little thing that children do.
Sometimes there is a reason , other times their behaviour makes no sense and you just have to keep taking deep breaths until it passes.

Hi - Just a quick update ~ I brought the potty back out and put it down stairs and for the last three days we have had no accidents, My daughter Sophie has now asked that it be taken upstairs again as she is a big girl and goes to the toilet upstairs so she does not need a potty.
