When Terrorists become Victims
All this talk and tears about the disaster in Pakistan has overlooked one significent fact .
It has taken place in the Swat Valley which up to a week ago was a hot bed
of extremism. The Pakistan Army has been waging a campaign against the
Talaban and their supporters for much of the past 2 years. Many of those
young men now pleading for our help were making mines and training fighters to
kill our troops over the border in Afghanistan. In fact it is the Talaban who are so
entrenched it is them who are organising much of the aid to many of the remote areas .

So who were the army fighting last week and for the past year ?
So who is the terrorist group reported to be helping the victims this week if they have fled the area. I'm surprised you don't applaud them rather than saying they ran away. They are doing worthwhile work especially in remote areas.
The Pakistan government said their efforts were being obstructed in some areas where the
Talaban were taking advantage of the disaster.
So you admit jno the terrorists are there # and the flooding has carefully killed only terrorists and left alone the innocent? How neat # How else could they be drowned ?

// Last summer, the army took the valley back with a major offensive, and it launched a series of public works projects intended to repair the damage. The efforts were starting to pay off: Just last month, residents celebrated traditional agricultural festivals without fear of violence, and tourists packed newly reopened hotels. //
