My Boss - as lovely as he is - isnt always the most understanding when you call in sick. I went home early last Thurs feeling rough and struggled through work on Friday - been rough all weekend and called in sick this morning.
nothing serious I'm sure - cough and cold - raging sore throat, headache, hot flushes, exhausted and coughing up mucus and a bit of blood (sorry gross I know!)
been drinking fluids and taking paracetomal - in my mind thats all I can do til it clears.
Boss said I should go to doctors... personally I think thats wasting my doctors time - as if its a cold or virus - then surely there is nothing more they can do...
I feel poorly enough to be at home - and dont want to spread my germs - and feel if I went into work - then I would just be prolonging the illness.
Should I go to the Docs or not - what would you do?
(apologies in advance - I realise this is probably a poxy virus... husband already had it.. and am sure there are lots of people out there with much more serious illnesses... I dont want to waste my doctors time as I'm sure there is nothing more he could advise!)

If he did he might be wondering why it is that you are saying that you are too ill to go into work yet able to happily tap away on your computer.
(Somebody at work got found out as when they were supposed to be ill they were messing around on Facebook like there was no tomorrow. Which was a pretty stupid thing to do as their boss was also one of their friends on Facebook.)
Hope you are feeling better soon.

sounds a bit worse than a cold - my colds don't usually involve headaches and coughing up blood. Flu of some sort maybe. But if your husband's had it then you'll probably know more about the course of it than your husband.
As Sqad suggests, having patients with illnesses in their waiting room is annoying, that's why doctors are so ready to do home visits these days.
