I had a blood test today, they said if it is still bleeding at 11pm, I should see a doctor.  Is this normal?

I've never heard of that, as jacey says, unless you have any problems with your blood not clotting or anything like that.

you should stop bleeding within 10 minutes of the test - most people stop instantly. Warfarin, aspirin etc can affect clotting time. If you are at risk of excessive bleeding and were still bleeding 10 minutes after the test you should NOT have been allowed out of the surgery until you had been checked over. Trust me.
