If we were the same colour and had the same religion or no religion and all our social status's and our figures and height were the same? No leaders, no poor rich, fat or thin.
Sounds almost like an alien world eh?

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Im just wondering is it human nature as it is with apes to have a hierarchy? If this is in our genetics to be leaders or followers then as boxtops said we are doomed to fail.
But what is the reason behind different colours and religions? It seems that all this does is give us a reason to be different and have murderous gripes with each other.

Boring, in short. As with the other great apes, indeed with any social grouping in any species, you will get hierarchy and dominance.
You are presenting violent extremism as the inevitable consequence of hierarchichal societies - and to an extent you may be correct. But for the large majority of people living withing virtually every society on earth, be it democratic, communistic, theocratic, repressive, open, or otherwise - violent extremism is not the answer or the solution, so not all societies will fail as a consequence of such action. When was the last leader of the UK assassinated? or of Germany, or France, or Sweden, or a host of other countries? You appear to have a rather bleak view of life - you need to put on your antic pants and get out more ;)

Utopia is an ideal but could not be a reality. It is natural for alpha males and females to rule either through strength or cunning and the population whether humans or animals will follow provided the leaders provide food and security. If food or another essential is unavailable then it will be taken from weaker communities. This is how it has always been.
The moment you have an absolutely equal society, someone will want more of something, be that money or power or whatever. Human nature, as boxtops says.
From Orwell's '1984' - "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.".
It's why socialism, lovely ideal though it may be, can never work.
