Good Afternoon all N & Cer's. Wish it had been Salamanca last week when I was stranded without the benefit of the BRB or other tatty tomes!! Did manage to finish last week's but only after my return home as no amount of racking would nudge the brain cells into producing some of the rather 'way-out' answers.
Now off to dig some spuds for supper (Ratte variety, really lovely firm new potato) to have with some wild salmon caught yesterday. There is a bottle of Cloudy Bay that has been winking at me for some time now..........................................

Earliest finish ever, got a 6am flight and was done by 7am (partly because the booking was messed up so I had a seat by myself without the children), so much for crosswords on the beach - I was expecting the clues to be a bit damn harder to spot, a bit of toil would have been fun on holiday but in the end this was really no trouble at all. Cue DocHH...
Appropriately cued, and enter stage right! Kala spera AndrewG-S, ti ka ne te?, or should it be ti Ka nis! Either way hope you have relaxing holiday, if that is possible with your children around!
On our return from Turkey early in July, I was allocated seat 14C and Herself was allocated 38F. A quiet word with a stewardess, without money changing hands I would hasten to add, resulted in them finding us seats 8a & 8b! Herself was pleased, on the other hand it meant that I paid for the drinks for both of us! Given your situation, a 4 hour separation from the children, was posssibly a bonus! Where are you in Greece? Wherever it is I hope the game plan is to 0% of absolutely nothing!

Sorry for the late reply, very intermittent access to the internet this week. We are on Zakynthos (sp?) or Zante - having a great time but very hot (40 degrees). Doing fairly little so long as sailing is counted as nothing, also reading Don Manley's book which is great. Fun starts in the evening where we have had a few nights rounding up children at gone midnight - it is like herding cats
AndrewG-S, glad you are enjoying yourselves en-famile, but how can you go sailing on a boat that doesn't have Wi-Fi! You'll be saying next that the crew and staff don't dress in Whites!
We have spent many enjoyable holidays in Greece, both on mainland and islands, (really enjoyed Kefalonia and Ithaca, you can smell the money there, the yachts are stunning), but never been to Zante. We now tend to go a little further afield, always trying to avoid Eurozone! As for rounding up children, that sounds a nightmare! Hope the same doesn't happen at home!

Hello All
Well, this turned out to be a very expensive puzzle. I sat down this morning with it thinking that it would take me the best part of the day, but rattled it off quickly and therefore had time for a mega shopping trip with young daughter (who is like the queen in the sense that she never carries her own money!) Even the weather was agin us - trapped in the shopping centre by flash floods, and yes, we still have a hosepipe ban! Off to Iceland (the country not the shop) on Saturday. Probably slightly cooler than your hol, Andrew G-S
