I am heading to Malta next week end and was just wondering how it is? I am early 40's but have been told I look 30 many times (don't know why) and I am very young at heart. I have a girlfriend in Egypt but it is absolutely nothing serious. She is Muslim so unless I convert we have no chance penultimately. We havent been intermate anyway. What kind of age group hang out there and do you get any chance to meet girls lol?

Emily....lol. So older men who go for girls in their 20's can be considered as paedos??!!!!??

Classic.
I apologise oldexpat if my twopennorth offended your sensibilities. You and I both know that being in your forties means you're still very young and the attentions of a mature man, particularly if he appears well-heeled, can be extremely flattering to a young woman. That doesn't mean she will see him in a romantic light. Don't forget that she will probably have a father in his forties, not a boyfriend. And yes, in common with other mediterranean countries, Maltese men are fiercely protective of their women.
ummmm-yes, I concede that 'paedophile' was inappropriate in this context but I remember having a discussion with my daughter and a group of her friends on the very subject of possible liaisons with older men and the words 'perve' and 'pervy' were used quite frequently-by them, I hasten to add.
