Health in pregnancy payment.

Hi,
Had no idea what this was, or that I was entitled to it. But I sent my form from midwife last Saturday morning but have had no payment. Does anyone know how long it takes?

could it be the healthly eating payment, not sure how much it is now but it used to be extra cash( around £50) so you can buy fruit and veg and get your 5 a day

No, its apparently a one off payment of £190 everyone can claim from 25 weeks pregnant. It is supposed to be to provide healthy food during your pregnancy (!). Another bright idea that was obviously not means tested but I can't be hypocritical as I've claimed for it!

Hi lolly, I got mine about 2-3 weeks after sending in the form. I think the letter said something about if you hadn't heard from them after a certain amount of time to call them?! I got the letter saying I was entitled about 3 days after they'd paid me.

Me n bump ok thanks. Muscles in my abdomen tore last week and ended up in hospital but there you go. Hope you're ok, not long to go for you now x

jb - the community midwife will give you a form when you're over 25 weeks. How far along are you now?

oh Im only 13 weeks!

Hi,
I got my payment the week after sending my form off, the money will go straight into bank. I left it a week and checked and it was there :-)
