The first one seems to be BANANA SPLIT (groan!)
...but that's (6,5)
The keeper who broke his neck playing for Man city was German Bert Trautman who was a second world war paratrooper born in Bremen, although what this has to do with the Chinese staple diet of rice escapes me..
Ilkley dressed for dinner - there is a dessert which is a chocolate pudding called MOOR IN A SHIRT.
(Ilkley being the home of the famous Ilkley Moor)

However I don't know what the first word would be, perhaps 'the', although it doesn't seem to be referenced as such anywhere.
