Problem with setting up limited company name under Memorandum Of Incorporation
6 Answers
I have recently set up a new company through companies house. I used an agent to arrange it. I paid £1 to companies house 3 weeks ago to see how things looked. I found that under the memorandum of incorporation that someome elses name was in there and the only name. I have spoken to the agent and they say it was a problem with their mail merger program. I have tried to call them on many occassions to discuss further but they keep on putting me on hold and saying no one is there to help. Does it sound doggy to anyone. Hope someone can help:)

What have they sent you? - should have been a M o Association, Articles of Association, a share certificate, ansd a Certificate of Incorporation. These things will be official-looking and have your name(s) on them as director(s).
Have they had your money?

Sorry I meant to say Memorandum Of Association:) yes they have had £150....there is only one name on the MA page....there is me and another director on the initial shareholding page and the shares there have been divided properly. I spoke to companies house are they are very confused. Thanks for input:)
Sorry I keep missing things off..........I have had all you say I should have had....but the only thing bothering me is this MA page where my name....the other directors name is not on there at all...only the name of this person I do not know and the agents say they do not know off him...they are just saying it just appeared on there in error....thanks again:)
Look, it is the agent that made the mistake so the agent has to put it right. Companies House won't help because they consider they merely acted on the instructions of the agent to form this new company. Companies House has a series of forms to remove, add or change individuals named.
Clearly don't use the MoA to register a bank account or do anything else to start trading until the information is correct. If that is holding up you starting in business then register another company (which will have to use a slightly different name, of course) whilst you sort out the mess created by the original agent.
