I have a workbook with my personal financial information and I want it to be passwork protected as it was using Excel, but I can't find a tools option in the save menu - does anyone know how to do it?

It sounds like you are using Excel 2007, in which case right-click on the sheet name at the bottom of the screen (where you see Sheet1,Sheet2,Sheet3 in blank workbooks) - there is a Protect menu option there.
