If she'd been Muslim (like those shouting obscenities in Wooton Bassett), would we have seen a question posted condemning her within minutes of the story being published?

the event took place on May 7. The woman was found guilty a week ago; the BBC reported it

It was on the overall BBC website news list at the time (perhaps one of the 'most read' items) because I saw it then.
There was at least one earlier national newspaper report:
