Can anyone name this type of Pepper plant?

The peppers start off purple and turn yellow, but the strange thing is that the peppers seem to be growing straight up!!!

It looks like an ornamental pepper (Capsicum annuum).  See this site  where there is a very good example of a purple one in the third picture.
