Some scr otes do, yes. And having worked in a family planning clinic for over 24 years, I know that for a fact.

Rape victims are offered the morning after pill - that is, if they report said rape.

<<I realise I am a lone voice <<....not so, plenty of people would agree with.

<<so why should we terminate a life<<

Depends upon one´s definition of "life"
Well one girl in our school had about 3 abortions but then she may have been making it up, god knows why
why indeed 4get? Do some girls actually think that would impress anyone? Jeez....
attention thing maybe, when at school you dont really think about why she's in that situation, its more 'oh no she had to get rid of a baby' when you are older you really what a dumb muppet she was for being in that situation 3 times.
Once, ok. Though I don't think I would want it public or general knowledge. But 3 times? Very immature, but then, if they are still at school....
but then if you act like you are old enoug you should know about contraception
Exactly. But unfortunately that is not the case always.
Thats Ok salla
Shall I tell you one of the reasons for my change of heart. I found it very strange that people I knew where banging on about the rights of animals (foxhunting, animal testing etc) and thought nothing about the rights of the unborn.
Sorry I am getting disjointed but its Monday and I keep getting called away.
I have no personal experience of abortion but I will say that all the women I know that have had them have paid some kind of price for it.
I will also say that I am a catholic but I did, like I said, once believe it was a womans right to choose.
I simply believe that no human being has a right to end anothers life - and my defination of life begins at conception.
Your point about animal rights versus foetus rights is an excellent one.

I do know a handful of girls who have had abortions and never ever regretted them. Or even given them a second thought (that is NOT to say they wish the situation had not happened in the first place). I think people and situations are different.

I do not agree with those who get pregnant because they cannot be bothered or are too drunk to use protection or those who use termination as a form of contraception.
this would not be an uninformed choice:

Gender abortions are sad but necessary for the mother's welfare

<<<and my defination of life begins at conception.<<<

I respect that, but there lies the problem...........definition.
I do know a handful of girls who have had abortions and never ever regretted them. Or even given them a second thought (that is NOT to say they wish the situation had not happened in the first place).

I am not wishing it on them but they may come to regret the decision in later life wait and see what life thrusts upon them

I have a friend who councils women who have had abortions (she herself had one in her 20's) She said anything bad that happened after it was always seen as 'payback time'
yer people I know always say that when anything bad happens its because...or threat that they wont be able to have children as payback
i believe the key word is choice, everyone should have the choice.
those who are pro-life have the choice not to terminate, that is their right and no-one should argue with that. but in the same way, those who want an abortion should be able to have one and no-one should argue with that.
no-one is forced to have, or not have, an abortion. we all make judgements about the whys and wherefores of people we know who have had one, or even multiple, abortions, but unless we live their life we really can't understand.
i am mosts definitely pro non-judgemental choice.
