did anyone see eastenders last night?
i dont really watch it as much as i used to as i think its gone off a bit in my opinion.
but
ive got to say i thought it was quite touching when ol jim came back to the square for his birthday with dot, bless him.
it was really nice to see him.

Thought it was excellent for once, i cried, after seeing John Bardon on Just the two of us, i have always thought what a nice person, so it was good to see him, but a shame to see what the stroke had done to him (from what i understand that wasn't an act). I thought the bit with Bianca was particullary good.

I was wondering if Jim was acting that or not as I heard he had a stroke. Was he not acting then?

I have to say I found it buttock clenching. Although he was acting, I find it all a bit unsettling if they used his condition to get viewers. Yes I feel sorry for him but if he is that ill then he should be allowed to recover in peace. If he is ok and was just acting (after all he did manage to say some lines between the grunting) then I think it should have been pointed out.

My mum suffered a stroke and no way would I have allowed her to be paraded on tv in front of people just to get ratings..

lankeela - Maybe he wanted to do it to higlight what what can happen to you. He may have had a stroke but he still has a mind of his own

I thought the show was fab, had my tissues at the ready. I wish him well in his recovery
