I have now found two CDs, one is Windows 98 (!) from a previous PC, and also Microsoft Works Suite which includes Microsoft Word 2002 (this is from when I bought my PC). Can I download the 2002 version or do I have to down load the whole Works Suite which includes encyclopedia, money standard and photos premium which are on other discs. I dont need any of these only Word. I just want to use Word on my laptop as my PC is very slow and keeps crashing now. I have transferred the printer cable to my laptop and want to type and print everything off the laptop now. Thanks all :) Not technical so easy answers please.

Would I be better transferring Windows 98 or Word 2002 on the Microsoft Works Suite 2005 package ?
frame the 98 disk and stick it on the wall as an antique.

If you want a word processor then use the works disk and only install word.

Hi Chuck, downloaded Works and Word worked for a while (tongue twister there). Anyway worked for a while and then wouldn't open. Got fed up and deleted the whole lot. So now I have Open Office, it seems fine. Thanks you are a star as usual :)
