Maggots
11 Answers
I have a dustbin in a cupboard at the front of the house. I have just come home to find the front step crawling with maggots. A fly has obviously got into the cupboard and laid it`s eggs there. I`m dreading what I`m going to find when I open the cupboard. How do I kill them? Would a sluice around with diluted disinfectant do it or is there something more specific to maggots to use? Any help would be appreciated. The situation is not helped by the fact that I have a phobia about the things and absolutely loath them.

They had their maggots in a big container on the deck and while the guys were in the pub it rained like hell. It rained enough for the container to fill with water which distributed the maggots all over the boat.
Well, I used about 8 kettles of boiling water and 2ltres of Sainsbury`s bleach and I think that`s done the trick. Only problem now is what to do with the rubbish bags most of the maggots are in until bin day on Thursday.
I can honestly say that was the most revolting thing I`ve ever had to do. There were thousands of them. I`m going back to Sainsburys now to replace the bleach and get a bottle of red wine. I need a drink after that.
