I do.

She reminds me of Susan Boyle for some reason...

Lottie just beat me to - but like yourself probably you had heard of the link before.

I recall Thompson and Venables in particular.....
Violence and abuse is usually against those that are weaker. It is just common sense to me that children who abuse animals who can't fight back have tendencies to violent and abusive behaviour and will abuse humans as well.

There is a lot more research about it too.

Stewey - naughty :)
I have always thought, anyone who could harm an animal would not think twice about hurting a human being. No evidence, but just my thoughts.
hang on, that's putting it backward.

It's one thing to say killers have often harmed animals.

It's another thing to say that people who have harmed animals often go on to be killers.

It's like saying everyone who takes heroin started out with tobacco and concluding that everyone who smokes tobacco goes on to take heroin. The first bit's more or less true, the second is not.

jno-think it relates to the power surge they get at harming a defenceless innocent and if they have latent pyschotic tendencies that will come to the fore and animals would cease to sate their desires and there we sadly have it.

I dont think you can equate a cigarette smoker to becoming a heroin addict as that equates to an addictive peronality rather than psychotic.
Unfair to compare her with Susan Boyle, Susan is a cat lover, its the first thing she mentions in her interviews. This woman was evil she is now trying to to excuse herself of her nasty deed. if she hadn't been caught on camera she would have got away with it!

oscarina -I didnt mean in that way honestly.
She just seemed to have the naivety but daftness of Susan Boyle (before she was groomed).
We have an expression in Scotland -someone is 'clever daft' -means that they have all their faculties but dont exude common sense and sometimes they come across as eccentric.
That was my impression of this 'cat' woman except she actually did something which made me doubt her mentality especially when she didnt think she had done anything wrong.
