Are any of you even thinking about Christmas yet?
I am starting to think about it. I have been organising the finances so money is put to one side and thinking about what to get the kids.
Has anyone started shopping or are you someone who leaves it to the last minute?

How can I resist Stockings at any time let alone Christmas ? xx
Bobbisox, I am being seduced 'on Air' but I am just Putty in her hands !! lol
I know I would not get away with it if I had young children or grandchildren. Well, my husband and I do not celebrate xmas at all. We ignore it totally and try to stay out of town as far away as we can from stores. We have a big dinner with our two grown children. Sometimes I listen to music. What it does is it does is that it gives us some extra time, which we value highly. We do not give each other gifts and our two grown children are instructed to not even think about a gift for us. Actually we give each other gifts other times of the year. It is just our way to live a more simpler life.
Oh it sounds like a laugh a minute at your home Nohorn
Like Daffi we try to shop at different towns each year, especially if it has a special Christmas market on for craft gifts and things. We also say we won't buy each other anything but I end up at the last minute rushing thinking I bet he has got me something so I end up buying expensive rubbish which never gets used. Worst present he got me was a belly dancing kit (I also got it the next year). He say worst I gave him was a box of marbles. The pets do very well though!

Wheaten
Nohorn - you sound like us - it is good ric, just not all beer and skittles all the time.

Rowan - I went to Saudi Arabia once over Christmas time - as expected, not a tree in sight.
PS mind you, my Muslim friends celebrate the celebration of Christmas if you know what I mean, they may not do the crib bit but they still like a good get together with their families, and any excuse for present-giving for the children is a good idea!
You must be joking !!!! I dont even buy anything in DECEMBER
ill be on my round the world trip at christmas, wont get to spend it with the family :(
Me and himself never know what to buy each other so a couple of years ago we each bought our own present, wrapped it, labelled it to ourselves and put it under the tree. On Christrmas morning we had the surprise of seeing what we'd given and also something we actually wanted!
