I need a cable to connect my sky box to the phone line. What are they called please?

RJ11 to BT

It's the same cable that is used on pretty much all BT type phones and there is normally one supplied with most computers as well so it may be worth checking if you have one in a box somewhere.

If not they are only a couple of quid.

(BTW, although sky say the box needs to be connected to the phone line, everything other than the interactive services and box office works fine without it being connected to the line and they never check)

sorry for the mini hijack Kath, Chuck I have a Tornado PC to PC connector still in the original packaging if you want it <for nothing> do you have a POP Box or anything like that?

Thanks for your answers. They did supply me with one but the wires have come out of one end and I don't know how to put them back! My friend also wanted a new cable but neither of us knew what they were called! Thanks again. (Have looked on ebay and managed to get two.)

"...and they never check" is too broad a statement. There is a specific situation where Sky constantly check for connection to a phoneline, namely subscription to Multiroom.

I have never got away with disconnecting my Sky from the phone line.They always know and flash a message on screen.
