And so the saga of this darn excel continues....(actually I AM starting to find it easier....but just a TINY bit)

Excel 2003:

I've been asked (working my way through some old exam papers) to

A)change the scale for Y axis
Scale: min vaue 0.50 max value 1.50 interval / major unit 0.10

B) Set the currency in y axxis to dispay £ sign with 2 decimal places.

I know how to do this is a normal spreadsheet but not on a bar chart (graph)

For my info will you please also tell me how to do this in Excel 2007?

t hanks muchly........as always.....

I cant answer your question but I recentloy changed from office 03 to 07 and It is sometimes. I can do it using insert chart and then go from there. You can go to the cells and then got to format to change to currency/ percentage etc.
In Excel 2003, right-click the y-axis, and you'll get a dialog box that will let you do what you need. select "scale" (or "axis options", or some such - it's been a while) to change the values on the axis, and "number" to change how the numbers display.

In Excel 2007, select the y-axis, and then on the menu bar under "chart tools" select "format". On the far right, under "vertical (value) axis", select "format selection" to launch a similar dialog box that will let you format the y-axis.
