Old Wives Tale cure for twitchy eye?
9 Answers
Hello Please could somebody suggest something I could try to stop my left upper eyelid from twitching?! It has been going on for 3 weeks now and is driving me mad! It feels like I'm winking at people, but nobody knows unless I tell them. I went to the Doctors yesterday and he said it will go away soon. In the meantime, I would be very grateful if somebody could suggest anything that I could try.

My dear Carakeel had the same problem but it also started affecting muscled down the side of her face, she ended up seeing a specialist who advised an operation on a nerve, whilst considering this option it just went away.
so if it doesn't go away it can be operated on but I don't think that it is an option just yet, It will just go away eventually I suspect.
Try yoga to help you relax or listening to very calming music when you are relaxing, try meditating, I think its mostly about tension etc.
Good luck with this, I know how irritating it can be.

Thank you for all your answers. The twitch is worse now than when I first posted though. Have tried teabags and cucumber slices... even all mushed up! I don't feel tired or stressed out. I wouldn't know where to start at yoga Ratter15 but a good suggestion! So now off to stick a tiny piece of wet paper on the twitch for an hour (thanks onetoomany, will let you know!)
