.... the one you put in your car window when parking. Do you still have to pay road tax?

yes, unless you are in reciept of higher rate mobility component of disability living allowance - then you can be exempt from tax. If you think about it, you can use the badge in anyone's car, so it wouldn't make sense to get free tax

Thanks bednobs, but don't think you can use the badge in other peoples car as it has the cars registration on it.
yes, you can use it in any car you travel in.
and no, it doesn't have the reg number on it.
no it dosen't, you can use it in any car that is carrying the disabled person
It just has the person's photo on the back and expiry date and ref number on the front. You can use in any car the disabled person is carried in. I have one so I know this is true.
The badge is for the disabled person (whether they drive or not), not for the car.
Yes, I have one too, and everything everyone has said here trt is true.
If I go out with my daughter I take it with me too.
