Anti-virus
3 Answers
Recently I been unable to view a lot of pictures on websites I visit and the white background to the pages has turned pink.
The only change I have made to my computer is to install AVG(which I want to keep, instead of Norton).
Is it ok to un-install Norton?(I wont be able to re-install it as I have lost the disc)
Do you think there is a conflict between the two that is causing the problem?
Or any ideas what may be causing the pink screen/no pics problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Unless you have done so already, I recommend you download some anti-malware programs which perform a different function to that of antivirus solutions in that they get rid of spyware on your system which can slow down your net connection and cause problems that you've mentioned.
The best ones are available for free in my opinion and come in the form of the following three programs (all of which can be installed and won't conflict with one another).
AdAwareSE Personal (http://www.lavasoftusa.com)
SpyBot Search & Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html)
SpywareBlaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com)
Download these programs, use their internal functions to make sure they're up to date (like you do with your antivirus program) and then run them all. In the case of SpywareBlaster, it does not eliminate spyware, but helps to prevent it installing and thus need only be run once each time it is updated.
Getting rid of any spyware on your system may help alleviate your problems.
