brass taps

i have just moved in to new place with lovely victorian brass bath taps in bath and sink they are encrusted with limescale have spent hours on sink ones brasso, limescale remover and wire wool and looking great, the bath unit is much worse and difficult to get to as shower system built in !.any idea on easier cleaning solution and how to keep them limescale free. thanks

Check first that you won't ruin it...vinegar is good. If it bad soak some cotton wool in vinegar, put into a sandwich bag and then put over the taps. Tie with an elastic band and leave.

Make sure you can use it on brass though.
