Ford Focus '05

I'm currently driving this as a hire car and the "washer bottle empty" message keeps flashing up at me but I can't find the bonnet release! Any early bird out there who knows?

if it's the latest Focus, the bonnet is opened by turning the grille badge ( Ford "plum"), to expose the bonnet lock, insert ignition key, and 1/2 turn. The bonnet will then open, there is also a safety catch to enable the bonnet to fully open.
