Hi ABers, when the likes of Orange County Choppers (American Chopper on Sky) build a bike does each one require a separate engineering acceptance certificate from the US Departement of Transport to allow it to go on the road? If not do similar rules apply across the big pond and how does a UK citizen go about building a custom bike of his / her own? TIA

The vehicle here would have to undergo a SVA or single vehicle assesment to make sure it's legal and up to standard. Not sure about the USA.
