Is the property registered with the Land Registry? Is the property registered with the Land Registry? If yes, then it's a very straight forward process of signing a transfer form (TR1 http://www1.landregis...ry/documents/TR1.pdf) Under the section which says 'Transferors' you would put both your names, and then under 'Transferee' you would just place your wife's name. Your signatures would need to be witnessed by an independent adult, and then the form submitted to your local Land Registry office along with the accompanying fee. The fee I believe is approx £50. You would also need to state whether you are transferring the property for any value.

If the property is unregistered, it would be advisable to see your local solicitor / conveyancer who would be able to do a first registration and transfer simultaneously. Would probably cost you about £250 in legal fees and £150 Land Registry fees.

Hope this helps.
