However - I never buy wool suits (other than once) - to me, it itches like hell, especially in hot weather (in spite of any linings).
However, I know people who don't find wool the slightest bit itchy.
If you're out in the rain and get a wool suit wet, it'll look like it's only fit for a scarecrow.
Wool or wool mixture will be dry-clean only (expensive).
Some suits (definitely not wool, e.g. M&S) are machine washable.
