ISA/critical cover

my hubby and i both have an ISA/critical illness cover plan50/50. we took out the policy the same day pay in the same amout of money yet when we get statments his is worth more than mine.why?
can anyone answear this for me?

If this plan contains an element of life cover then it is quite normal for the value to be greater for a male due to the life expectancy of men being shorter than that of females.
More of your premium will be used to buy your CI insurance on a month-by-month basis. Women are more expensive to cover for CI although cheaper for Life. A consultant surgeon once told me that this is because they have more plumbing to go wrong!
