as i said b4 sara 3, all i posted was the thread title "ignore me, i just testing out a c&p method. which was what i was doing, then someone manages to add to my thread under my ab id!!
ive reported it to the ed, lets see what happens.

hacking asides.. it looks like you're copying and pasting headlines, and not the relevant web address.

hello hopkirk, i dont stand a ghost of a chance then. couldn´t help that.
I dont have any gadgetery in my home. just a regular emachines laptop and a mac desktop.
i´ll await yr response

highlight (by holding down the left button on your mouse or touchpad on a laptop, then moving the cursor across the address, then release the left button) the web address in the address bar at the top of said page. then right click on the highlighted bit and choose "copy" from the drop down list.

then go elsewhere, like here, right click and choose "paste" from the drop down list.

as Hopkirk says.. that's also the best I can offer!

Go to the web address box at the top of the screen.

Put the cursor over the address, left click so it gets highlighted.

Right click to get a drop down menu, left click on copy.

Put the cursor onto a blank place where you want it, right click and select paste.

Make sure no other text is touching the address, and it will become a clickable link.

Is that what you wanted?

hi hopkirk, thanx for yr clear instructions, but i already know all this, as i´ve been doing this for years. i just cant get it to work for here on AB. and no one can tell me why. i even managed to c&p a link on CB from i think sara3. but trying to do anything else outside ab, forget it.
i´ve now accepted defeat.
