My know-it-all neighbour says MPs used to nip out from the House for a quick one in the Lion pub in Old Queen Street across the road, referring to this as 'having 5 minutes with the old Queen'. Nowadays of course, if it DOES have anything to do with our elected representatives, you could perhaps take it more literally
