Decent jokes bum bum !
the successful tickleage of the funnybone!
my favs - Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard, Russell Peters. Russell Brand and Lee Evans (in small doses).
oh he does sweat though bless him!
I cannot stand Russell Brand. No talent whatsoever, IMO...
The ability to make people laugh; not because they are supposed to, but because they have no choice. And of course, delivery, delivery, delivery.
totally agree with stewey.
eg tommy cooper didnt tell great jokes, but i defy someone to not laugh at him. i can still remember the parkinson interview, parky was crying with laughter.
anyone can tell a joke, but it needs a good delivery. personally, jokes rarely work for me, I like the clever wit of every day humour.

a quick, smart retort will beat "knock knock" any day!
My Dad was a great joke teller. He could make a crap joke funny. I think it was partly his facial expressions and partly his accent.
i´m always 4getting jokes!!
where as my brother could reel of 100´s of funnies for hours
Great jokes and a likeable personality.

Personally, my favourites are Peter kay and Lee Evans. I also used to like Dave Allan and the two Ronnies. Couldn't stand Tommy Cooper, he never made me laugh.
i´m not even going to try to change yr mind tizzi24, as humour is personal. but didnt tommy copper start out being a magician. and the comedy followed. i now can see why you coudn´t stand tommy cooper, cuz my mom also didnt like him too. i was just lucky that he found my funny bone as to speak. even after all these years he still makes me laugh thanx to youtube
