missfire

after suffering engine missfire in a astra 1.4 i looked at the common faults distibutor leads ect but when i removed the 2nd plug it had melted ! should i be worried about burnt out valves or pistons the other plugs were correct and fine

you may have just got a dodgy plug. Are they the correct rating/type for the car as there are loads of different ones and someone may have fit it without checking?
