I am keeping my used car as I could not get a deal with the garage. However there is stale smoke lingering and I want rid of it. Anybody tell me what to do. Thanks for any answers.

Well have done everything you all said re cigarette smoke. I literally have been at it all week and then left it over to get a good valet. It is a little better but somebody has said there are smells that can come from the air conditioning I did notice smells coming up the vents when the heater was on. Anybody help me on that so that I have covered everything. I do believe I would need to go to a mechanics to get this remedied but in meantime is there any thing I can do. I am a bit of a diy person and at the moment dont have any more money for mechanics. Again thanks for any answers

you could try bicarb of soda sprinkled and worked into the carpets. also depending on the car there may be a filter that need changing.
