2 Weeks ago our glass table top shelf shattered in-turn the LCD Plasma tipped over & hit the pillar of the stand, I got in contact with our insurance the asked me to take pics of the Stand + TV, this I did with A4 size pic's then sent them off to TSB, they returned the call and offered me with our £ 50 access £125 on a £1700 sharp set + the 3 shelf Glass top TV holder, I refused their offer as it was an insult their reply, this is the lot we will pay! that's what they thought! I contacted The insurance Ombudsman who laughed at TSB's offer, I contacted the said company & stated their offer was Crp & I will be taking the case up, within 3 days we where called back & offered £475, The motto of this advise, do not take no for an answer & stick to your guns which I'm known to do, Good Luck.
I worked for an Insurance Company for 30 years,if you are not happy with their Claim Offer go through the usual Complaints Procedure,if you have no joy threaten them with The Ombudsman, they hate that and will pay up almost immediately.
Re-read my Question Everhelpfull I have already done that, that was the main purpose of the advise untill some clever sod came out with unwanted sarcasm, we try to be helpfull but is it worh it?
