Mother of the groom outfit

Hi, my son is getting married next Sept and i would like to start looking for an outfit to wear, ive never been the mother of the groom or bride before as my daughter never got married or has no intentions of being married, i would like some ideas what i should wear, i will be 46, size 12/14, 5ft3in, can anyone give me any links to what would suit me, or any ideas what to wear at all please. Thank you.

Why don`t you go to a store that has the services of a personal shopper. You may end up with ideas you would never have thought of.

Is it a church wedding? what colour are the bridesmaids wearing? Where in the country will it be (weather matters).

I would advise a nice dress with a jacket of some type as a general rule though.

That is the reason I asked about the bridesmaids too, you really shouldn't wear anything the same colour as they do either.
