leg swollen

I have been to the doctors about my right leg as i noticed it is slightly bigger at the top of my thigh than the left leg. I often get a few aches and pains up and down the leg. the doctor suggested a scan. I noticed the right leg about 8 weeks ago but only just been to docs. Eight months ago i had a bad fall and inured my knee quite badly.
