Why a plant?????

I thought the answer would be along the lines of coma or persistent vegetative state.

gen 2. 10 A in my paper asked for a composite plant -  the yarrow. You have been thrown by basenji's brain dead state of mind which meant there was no response to the clue.

    and sure its right has genus of Yarrow,

pega, I wasn'y questioning your answer, It was basenji's post that wasn't clear.  There was no mention of a plant in basenji's question.  In fact I thought the crossword clue for 10a was 'Brain dead'

I haven't yet mastered this psychic thing of guessing the question when posters don't type it.

BTW it is always a great help if questioners also state how many letters are in the answer and give whatever letters they are sure of.  That generally leads to a fast and accurate response.
