Bad news about Bridgette

I recently posted a question called "To all you good samaritans". It told Brigette's terrible story, but gave a happy ending. I am afraid that I have some bad news in the progression of that story. Bridgette was just in (and is currently living in-clinic) as she has cancer of the liver. We are trying her on some steroids to see if it will encourage her to eat, but so far it hasn't helped. We may have to euthanize her as she keeps loosing weight and is becoming dehydrated (among other things). Even if she passes away this week, we know that we gave her a full year of love and care, and that is something in itself. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

I am sure animal lovers would of been appalled at poor Bridgettes' plight recently kim, I was. It was sad to read your post this morning. Domestic animals have a much shorter life span than us, and its a shame not to let them enjoy it.  Bridgette is suffering again bless her. If you were not there for her (and others like her) her life may have been shorter and more cruel. Fingers are most certainly crossed for her and you,good luck .

Well said flump1, I feel exactly the same way. My fingers are well and truly crossed beside me. Just remember what you did was so special letting her know that someone loves her, without you guys she would have died very unhappily. Give her a hug 4 me.

give her a big hug for me too. that is so sad, and it must be especially hard for all of those who cared so much for her during her recovery and put in all the love and care for her. i truly hope for the best possible outcome for the sake of all of you and especially bridgette.

Hadn't seen your original post kim,so I took a look there.It seems so unfair that this is now the outcome.As you say,she has received  a lot of love and care,but it is heart-breaking for everyone concerned never-the -less.I hope for some better news.xx
